Guilderland field hockey started in 2001 as a junior varsity team,  making one more addition to the Surburban Council. The following year was our first varsity field hockey team at Guilderland. We continue to be the last team added to the Surburban Council League, which includes Bethlehem, Burnt Hills, Columbia, Saratoga, Shaker, and Shenendehowa.
